The 3rd International Zinc Conference hosted by KCM 2000 Group
KCM 2000 Group has successfully hosted another significant international event in the field of metallurgy. The 3rd International Zinc Conference in Europe, organized by the International Zinc Association (IZA), was held in Plovdiv, May 15-17.
The participants had the opportunity to visit KCM's lead and zinc plant. The Bulgarian metallurgical holding impressed the participants with its integrated technology model - part of the circular economy. By the realization of the investment project "Technological renewal and expansion of production" (KORP), KCM is successfully implementing combined processing of primary raw materials with the recycling of internal turnover, and waste from the steel industry achieving minimal quantities of deposited materials.
The conference attracted 130 representatives from 60 companies and organizations who had had the opportunity for contacts and to hear interesting and informative presentations on the sustainable development of zinc manufacturing, technology, and markets.
