Alcomet AD started the ‘Non-Ferrous Metallurgy’ education dual form in Shumen
The new 2018/2019 school year at the Vocational School of Mechanics, Electronics, Telecommunications and Transport "Hristo Botev" - Shumen was opened with a ceremony. The school welcomes eighth-grade students in the specialties ‘Applied Programming’, ‘Computer Technique &Technology’ , ‘Automotive Engineering’ and ‘Automotive Mechatronics’. Eng. Galina Mladenova - Director of the High School and Ms. Maya Blaskova - Public Relations Expert of Alcomet AD greeted the students with the first school day.
This year, education starts in two new specialties – ‘Electrical equipment of production’ and ‘Non-Ferrous Metallurgy’. The training of the students will be supported by Alcomet AD, Shumen. And so this is the beginning of the education dual form in the field of the non-ferrous metallurgy in Shumen. The project aims to stimulate learners' professional orientation as well as to provide trained staff to meet the enterprise’s production needs.
The chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alcomet AD – Mr. Fikret Indje met the students who will be educated in the new specialties ‘Electrical Equipment of Production’ and ‘Non-Ferrous Metallurgy’ and discussed with them and their parents the challenges the new classes will face.
Students in the specialty ‘Non-Ferrous Metallurgy’ will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge in the field of metallurgy and will have practical exercises with the most modern machinery and tools. For the 8th and 9th grade students the enterprise offers 5 monthly scholarships of BGN 50, for 10th and 11th grade students - 5 scholarships of BGN 65 and for graduating students - 5 scholarships of BGN 100. The company is providing textbooks, free transportation for socially disadvantaged students and during the practical classes - work clothes and food for free.
Eighteen eighth graders in the classes ‘Electrical equipment of production’ and ‘Non-Ferrous Metallurgy’ received promotional gifts provided by Alcomet AD.
