BAMI position on cadmium content in working environment
BAMI and EUROMETAUX prepared and sent an opinion to the Bulgarian representatives in the WG to the EC and the MLSP regarding experts’ discussions on amendments to Directive 37/2004 on protection of workers at work. Sweden has proposed a new standard for cadmium content (Cd) in working environment, many times lower than the existing norm and best manufacturers practices. Under the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council the issue is not expected to develop and it will be postponed for discussion under the Austrian Presidency.
