With an official ceremony at Alcomet's production base, a new high-tech 2 500-tonne SMS HybrEx Press was put in operation
The official start of the facility was given by the Prime Minister - Mr. Boyko Borisov, the Deputy Prime Minister - Mr. Tomislav Donchev, the Finance Minister - Mr. Vladislav Goranov, the Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Association - Mr. Radosvet Radev and the Mayor of Shumen - Mr. Lyubomir Hristov.
With the new high-tech press the production capacity and the export of the company are expected to expand significantly. The press is produced by the German company SMS, and has a production capacity of 100 000 tons.
The investment program of the company for this year foresees to put in operation a new cold rolling mill of a new generation and a continuous casting line as well.
